Blue Moon

September 2, 2012

Blue Moon in August

I captured this blue moon shot yesterday. The wind was calm. I really loved the radiant pattern of the clouds. It was the second night I saw something like this. The pictures I took in the first night did not turn out. Live and learn. I tried again with a different setting. This time, I attached my camera to a tripod. The exposure was 25 seconds, ISO 100 at f8.0.

The clouds were the remnants of hurricane Isaac. The wind was calm. The clouds were not moving. Later on, the wind started picking up. The clouds were moving faster. I have to delete those shots.

I love to shot the days right after a hurricane. The white fluffy clouds hanging in a deep blue sky.  Those days are great for taking pictures of the outdoor portraits, wedding  and engagement sessions.

Night!
