{No. 179} A Gift from Madison – Cookie Mix in a Jar

January 5, 2015

Gift from Madison

I received this very nicely prepared cookie mix from Madison last Christmas. I loved the distinctive layers of the ingredients she arranged. To be honest, this is a bait for a photographer who loves colors and food. :p I’m so hooked!!

Cookie Mix in a Jar

Let’s talk about the pictures. Because of the color combination of the ingredients, I wanted a country earthly kind of background. So, I took this cookie mix to a nearby park in a cloudy day. Reason: the clouds served as a big softbox. The soft light works really well on reflective surface. The background also turned out not being too contrast.

The earthly looking ingredients:

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/3 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

Baking instructions:
